Impossible Toronto is an initiative of the Neptis Foundation, imagining the housing a city needs but doesn't yet allow itself to build. The first investigation: On the Courtyard, Learning from European Blocks.

A yearlong study is a dense thing to hand a city. The site turns it into one continuous scroll, the whole argument unfolding section by section as you move. Research you read the way you'd walk a courtyard.
